2013 Grammy's Spotlight

Millions of people tuned in Sunday for the 2013 star-studded Grammy Awards, featuring artists such as Rihanna, Katy Perry, Mr.&Mrs. Carter, Drake, Elton John, Frank Ocean, Prince and many more. This particular awards is commonly known for the designer fashions stars wear on and off of the Red Carpet during the event. The fashion world is 4th in the world that brings in the most money. These award shows are considered as fashion shows to get people to watch and want to buy. Notice that when you see a new trend its meant to sell and be worn by the greatest; YOU! The importance of style and fashion in today's society is very important so always make sure you look your best whenever you go because you never know who is watching. Put your best clothes on and put your best foot forward. Fashion reflects personality and character, embrace it, love the person you are and show out!

    The trend from your posted pictures seem to be black and white. I love the fact that Katy Perry and Solange stepped outside the box and wore my favorite color..green. As with all awards shows, some hit the nail on the head and some...well, beter luck next time. I agree that the awards ceremonies are the place that sucks the viewers in to the next "hot" thing to buy.

    Adele, Kelly Rowland, Jennifer Lopez and Katty Perry took the cake for me. Adele's style is so unique, I like how she puts things together.

    One of my favorite parts about the Grammys is the fashion. I love seeing what people decide to wear and how it translates from the run way to the red carpet. One of my favorites for the night was Kelly Rowland. She has been looking so good lately and I'm proud of her for stepping into her own light. I also liked Rihanna's outfit, always bending the rules; covering up but going very sheer. She looked gorgeous though.

    I loved Kelly's dress she wore that thing. I was a little dissapointed in Bey's outfit of choice though. But she was still bad. Now Katty Perry's dress was my favorite. I loved the color the beading it looked very fine on her. And i love that country singers projector dress too.

    Of course fashion brings in the 4th most, everything is expensive lol. If I was on the red carpet I would just be in a polo and some exclusive Nikes. Simple, but I guess everyone has their own fashion. By the way did you see Kelly Rowland?! I have nothing more to say lol.

    Janelle Monae is my spirit animal. But I did notice the trend of black/white (Justin Timberlake aka my husband, Ne-yo, Miguel, Chris Brown) or solid colors (John Mayer, Solange, Katy Perry). It's interesting how these awards shows always have some unannounced theme.

    Ahhh Kelly Rowlands got my vote!I was kinds of dissapointed in Beyonce:( Her outfit wasnt very "Grammy-esque"

    I completely agree with fashion being one of the main focuses of the Grammy's. I did not even watch the Grammy's but I heard about what everyone was sporting on the red carpet. I just do not agree with people critiquing peoples wardrobe on the red carpet. Who is anyone to judge someones personal style?
